☀ “Then Eli (The High Priest of Israel) answered and said to Hannah, ‘Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of Him.’ And she said, ‘Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight.’ So Hannah went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad.” ~ I Samuel 1:17-18
Hannah had been on the receiving end of many unjustified barbs thrown her way by others. But then, in her most downtrodden need, a person spoke words of hope and kindness to her soul – and immediately, her countenance changed from bitter sorrow to renewed joy and expectation.
Look diligently for an opportunity to become the source of kind words today toward friend and stranger alike. This kind of speak is a very rare commodity and few are that possess it. And, oh how attractive a kind speaking person is toward those looking for someone as such this. Be that person.
